It is a traditional house in an authentic Spanish village with a population of 3,000 and fantastic facilities (including 24 hour medical centre) and good public transport to Malaga and Seville.

But the main attraction of this house is the choice of outside space. A courtyard for cool breakfasts in August, a middle terrace for sheltered sun in January, a patio and garden up through the old stables, and a garden that backs onto olive groves (and so cannot be built on).

Plus, and it is a big plus, a top terrace with views over the village and to the castle. Perfect for evening dining (the gazebo is a pleasing element here, lounging without burning).

(There is a plunge pool, but the water filter system could be used in a swimming pool that would easily be built on the raised tiled terrace that was built for the plunge pool, or it can be dismantled giving you an extra terrace. The pool is 3.5 metres in diameter and is 1.20 deep, to make it ideal for water aerobic exercises, but to be honest I lie on an inflatable and read a kindle in a ziplock bag))

Apricots, oranges, lemons, peaches, grapes, and cape gooseberries are the fruit crops. The garden has an irrigation system so watering is no problem, even when away.

To access either the house or the garden you need to get through the lockable workshops and this gives a high level of security.

These workshops, two large rooms with water and electricity, have been requisitioned by my husband as a man cave. But they could make good project for anyone who wanted to add value by converting them into a studio or an annex of some sort.

A wood burner in the main reception keeps the whole house warm and cosy in winter, and the traditional build of very thick walls keeps the house cool and fresh in the heat of summer.

New roof, new windows, rewired, contemporary kitchen, this is a well maintained and solid house of character and size.

About the village of Pruna

For an Andalusian village of just short of 3,000 residents Pruna, in the county of Seville, has a lot to offer. 24 hour 357 day medical centre, three banks, two biggish supermarkets, several smaller ones, five bread shops, one patisserie, and a Farmacia. Market day is Friday and it is one of the bigger markets in the area.

A fabulous open air swimming pool for the summer months, There is a gym, and a sports center, football pitch, free aerobics classes for all residents every early spring morning at 9,30 (usually there is myself and one other ex pat, the other twenty or so women are villagers, and very friendly and welcoming).

And a bar on every street, most of which can knock up some decent tapas. All of which do breakfast. And there are four of five restaurants serving a wide range of typically Spanish food. To top it all Pruna recently got an amazing cafe specialising in home made cakes!

The council offices are friendly and helpful and google translate and a big smile will get you sorted.
Pruna is in the south eastern part of the province of Seville, in the Sierra Sur de Sevilla. It is near the borders of Cadiz and Malaga provinces.

And it has excellent public transport links to Seville, two buses a day, and Malaga is almost as easy to get to because the nearest town, Olvera, (4 miles away) has four buses a day to Malaga.

You can live here for much of the year without a car with no problem, Its possible even get the buses to and from the airport.
