We visited Olvera in Spring 2023 for just a day to view a small house we had viewed on line with…Olvera Properties.The house appealed immediately, we looked at no others.We met Zoe, Ann-Marie with vendors at the house…Done deal.. with Simon, Olvera Properties continued  flawlessly along with their concierge service to complete the sale.  We had more than welcoming and helpful vendors too, even celebrated with them later that evening.The house  is in the old town, very spanish, we know little spanish but try, we are always made welcome. The view from our terrace is beautiful, countryside, mountains and birds song.  Up behind us is the Jesus statue and higher up the beautiful Church, Castle there are wonderful walks and bicycle routes.We wander through the streets and find new pretty areas all the time.Hot in summer with a beautiful municipal pool, blue skies and crispy air at Christmas.We have visited each season including Christmas.We go again in April…Cant wait……💫 Ruthie & Ant

6 months after subscribing to Spain Magazine, I realised that every month, I was looking for the Olvera Properties ad! I loved the unconventional (in estate agent terms!!) upbeat descriptions, the lovely properties, & the wonderful view of Olvera at the top of the page. I think I’d already fallen at that stage!! I knew the Andalucian coastline, but had never really explored inland, so I didn’t really know anything about Olvera & the surrounding area. Having been fortunate enough to pay off my UK mortgage, I then decided it was time to take out another, at the grand old age of 59, & look into buying my dream home in the sun.
I contacted the company & arranged to fly out for a weekend to look at properties. It wasn’t an auspicious start as I left my driving licence at home!! But no fear, Olvera properties & Co to the rescue!! I was collected from Jerez airport by Pete & started my trip. The following morning, Zoe met me & took me to look at the 8 properties in Pruna & Olvera that I’d earmarked, leaving the one I thought most interesting till last. Guess what…the second I saw that house I loved it! We walked up the outside spiral staircase & it got its name, 5 minutes on the roof terrace & I had made plans! By the time I’d left on Sunday, I’d decided to buy. I returned in October to review everything & by January 2009, Stairway To Heaven was mine!
Throughout the whole process, I have nothing but praise for the team at Olvera Properties, guiding, translating, organising & generally making everything seem so simple. They are an amazingly friendly, & knowledgeable bunch, who make it all seem so simple, while no doubt gritting teeth on many an occasion when things don’t go according to plan, but keeping on till the job’s done. I have never bought a house with so little fuss & drama! It would still remain an impossible dream if it wasn’t for Zoe, Anne-Marie & the whole team. Thank you so much for making my dream come true!!

Buying a house abroad is always an act of endeavouring. One always feels a bit ‘helpless’. There are other laws and rules, some extra procedures and formalities to take into account. One may browse the internet and think he is aware and well informed. Yet, when it comes to the actual buying lots of question marks do pop up. Anne-Marie, Zoe and Steve were the perfect answer. Excellent guidance throughout the buying process, always there at very late evening hours to give us patiently answers to another rain of questions. Even when we could only make it to Olvera between X-mas and New Year because of our jobs, when the office is closed for the Season, someone was arranged to welcome us and show us round a second time.
The actual selling and buying proved a real challenge when the bank forgot about their own banking rules. Zoe and Anne-Marie kept their cool and came up with an on the spot solution that satisfied seller, buyer and bank. This is an act of real professionalism which we will not forget as it really saved us from a very nasty feeling on a day we had been looking forward to for several months.
Thanks for your professional attitude. You guys never forget that you are dealing with real people, of flesh and blood. That personal and human approach is real plus. As a buyer, one is entrusting the agent with his hard earned savings. The entire OP team is well aware of that and fights to gain ones trust. They really DO want the best for their customers. We never got the feeling of buying forced into anything whatsoever. Although abroad, we felt at HOME …

Having used Olvera Properties when we bought our first house in 2010, (which is being successfully rented out as a holiday home)we had absolutely no hesitation in using them again when we decided to buy a second home in Olvera. We wanted a ruin that we could reform and put our own stamp on but finding a place that was just right for us was not easy. The houses we looked at were too big or two small or beyond our budget. Anne-Marie didn’t give up looking and she finally found us the perfect house. She then arranged inspections by a local builder and an architect, arranged quotes and gave us lots of helpful advice. The work on the house should be starting in the next couple of months and we should have our second dream home ready next year! Thanks again Anne-Marie and Zoe for all your invaluable help!

When we decided to investigate buying a house in Spain Olvera Properties was one of several estate agents we dealt with.
And what a breath of fresh air they were. In stifling October heat I was shown properties in Olvera and Pruna.
Finally choosing a house in Pruna we put ano offer in on 10th October which was accepted.
And this was when the expertise of Zoe and Annemarie was shown. Bank accounts were set up, a date booked for Annemarie to take us to Cadiz to get our, essential, NIE.
Mandates were set up to pay utilities and council tax. Meters were read, all outstanding bills paid from previous owners. In short, Zoe and Annemarie made this the most painless house sale we have ever had.
One month later we moved into our lovely Pruna home, and cannot thank Zoe and Annemarie enough for making it possible.
It is their professionalism, approachability, and friendliness that gives them such a large portfolio of properties, sellers trust them, and that makes buying easier.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Earlier this year we bought our property in Pruna after a particularly depressing and pointless visit with another agent around Iznajar. What arelief it was when we met up with Anne Marie in Olvera! She showed us several interesting places in Pruna and Olvera before finally letting us view the ‘Tardis’ (her words). We have not looked back since. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process and nothing was too much trouble. She even took us to our favourite tapas bar afterwards! Cant recommend this company enough.
