Location

The property is 10 km from the village of Montellano which has all necessary amenities (including Spar and Dia supermarket), including a hospital/health center, numerous bars and restaurants (one even being a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin guide for many years). Sevilla and Jerez de la Frontera (both with international airports, all large stores like IKEA and DIY home-depots and numerous public- and private hospitals) are approx. 70 km away, Malaga being ~160 km and the beaches of Marbella are reached within 130 km. At the other side of the house lays the town of Villamartin, somewhat larger than Montellano, with large Mercadona- and Maxi Dia supermarket and even an aerodrome where you experience light aircraft views over the Andalusian landscape.

 

Driving up to the house

The property is approx. 2 km from the main (tarmac) road and can be reached via an unpaved (perfectly driveable all year round in a normal car) road, the (only) neighbor is approx. 1 km away and there are no other houses along the unpaved road. A steel-gate at the start of the (300 m) tarmac path up the hill indicates the beginning of the property.

 

The Kitchen

The modern kitchen (4.6 x 4.5 meters) is equipped with a central cooking island with a 5 unit gas burner (with the Wok-burner even with a double power unit) and a design Thermex hood with thermo-electric burning of the cooking fumes. The kitchen further benefits from 2 ovens: a micro-wave combi as also a hot-air combi unit to perform almost all wishes of the cook. Of course there is also a dishwasher. Although the oil-fired radiators heat up the rooms very well, an additional wood-burner with baking functionality is also installed (and gives a warm feeling to see the flames).

The combined dining / living room measures 11.7 x 3.75 meters providing room for the large dining table and lounge set.

The 5 bedrooms in the main house

It can be used for guests but also for the owners of the house in case you want to rent out the main house and get a nice income from that. In case the owners are not present, the casita can also be used to house guards to keep a close look to the property

 

Auxiliary rooms

Next (and attached to) the casita you find the auxiliary rooms: one with the 17,000 water deposit and the 950 liter oil canister for the central heating, the back-up generator as also storage for tools, the other rooms holds the solar system for power (including 12 batteries) and hot water, washing machine and also storage for (garden) tools. On the roof of the casita, the solar panels for power and hot water are located.

All doors and windows have steel bars (so-called, typical Spanish, “Security Rejas”) so the house can be perfectly locked for safety in case of absence of the owners. Glass door to the terrace/ patio and all windows are all made of maintenance free aluminum and foreseen with double glass isolation, all windows have roll-down fly-screens and shutters.

The house has energy certificate B, is fully legal and all documentation is available!
